The converter maps each system’s meaning, not the raw number: a US 93%+ is a 4.0, a UK 70% is already a First (about 3.7–3.8 GPA), and an Indian 75% is a distinction (about 3.8). A First (1st) is usually 70% or above. An Upper Second (2:1) is 60–69%, a Lower Second (2:2) is 50–59%, and a Third is 40–49%.
