Disclosures: how this site is paid for

Everything on Studies Multiverse is free to read, with no account and nothing hidden. Listing on the site is free for every institution. Here is who pays for it, and what that money can and cannot change.

1. Advertising

The site shows advertising served by Google AdSense on guides, country pages and general pages. Ads are chosen by Google, not by us, and an ad is not an endorsement or a recommendation. We do not show ads on institution pages or on any page where you send us your details. Ads are kept away from study-abroad agencies and recruitment services where Google lets us block them. 2. Affiliate links

Some links to services students need (for example accommodation, flights, health insurance, mobile data and money transfer, from companies such as Booking.com, Skyscanner, HousingAnywhere, SafetyWing and Airalo) are affiliate links. So are the website links of some institutions and course providers that run their own affiliate programme; on those pages you ask questions and apply on the institution’s own website. If you buy, sign up or enrol through one, we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. These links are marked “Affiliate link” where they appear and carry a short notice pointing here. A company appears because students need what it offers, never because it paid for a place, and no affiliate link appears in the official register record on any page.

What is not for sale

• A listing, a ranking or a featured place. Every listing is free, and none can be bought.
• The register verdict. It is read from the government’s own record, at any price, to anyone.
• Removal of a true fact. A correction costs nothing; hiding a true fact is not for sale.
• Your data. We do not sell personal data.
• Unlabelled placement. An ad says it is an ad; an affiliate link says it is an affiliate link.

Why an institution is listed at all

We publish factual information about places to study: name, country, kind, website and, where a government publishes one, standing on the official register. It comes from open-licensed public sources, which are named on every page. We publish no logos, no photographs and no individual’s contact details unless the institution adds them itself. We are not an authority, a university or a government body.
