If the exchange rate moves. Today 1 EUR = 70.36 PHP (rate of 8 November 2026). A 10% move either way changes this first year by about PHP 63,400, and a whole three to four-year degree by roughly PHP 190,190 to PHP 253,580. Plan with a margin, and pay large sums when the rate suits you.

Worth knowing. The one-year job search permit is only for master's and PhD graduates. Living costs are the University of Minho's estimate for Braga and Guimarães; Lisbon and Porto cost more.
