Studying in Singapore
These apply to every international student in Singapore, including at yale-NUS. Each figure shows where it came from and when we last checked it.
Money you must show
The Student's Pass application asks how your studies are financed, but ICA states no minimum amount. Your university may ask for evidence: ask it what it needs.

Deadlines and intakes
The academic year starts in August. Undergraduate application windows depend on your qualification and open many months before. At NUS, the published window for applicants with international qualifications (other than the IB Diploma) for AY2027/2028 is 16 December 2026 to 17 February 2027, with decisions by July 2027. NTU and the other universities set their own dates.
Graduate programmes run their own deadlines and intakes: check each programme page.
Language you need
All university teaching is in English, and English is the working language of business and government. Universities set their own English requirements, which vary by the qualification you hold: check the admissions page for your qualification. Mandarin, Malay and Tamil help socially and in some jobs, but you do not need them to study or live here.
Free for students
Tell us what you want to study. Your request goes to the admissions team or to an adviser who works with them will contact you by email to help with your application. It costs you nothing.
Student reviews: none yet for yale-NUS. If you study or studied here, yours would be the first.
Every reviewer confirms their email address with a one-time link, and a person at Studies Multiverse reads each review before it appears. We publish good and bad reviews on the same terms, never edit them, never pay for them, and an institution cannot remove a review by paying us. Reviews sent from the institution’s own email domain are not accepted. Institutions can reply below a review. See our terms.
Get in touch
Studies Multiverse passes your question to the admissions office by email, and they reply to you directly. We do not sell your details to anyone.
For staff of yale-NUS
Staff can manage this page at no cost: correct the details, add your logo and a description, see how many students look at it, add photographs and courses, and answer the questions they send. All of it is free.
Students: this is not an application. To apply or ask about courses, visit yale-NUS’s website.
