Studying in Qatar, from the official sources in our guide
Studying in Qatar
These apply to every international student in Qatar, including at Al Rayyan International University College. Each figure shows where it came from and when we last checked it.
Money you must show
Qatar University: you cannot sponsor yourself, the financial sponsor must be a third party. The guarantee runs five years for bachelor's and PhD, three for master's.
Qatar University, Apply for Student Visa, source re-checked 23 Oct 2026
Work while you study
Qatar University policy; you need at least 24 completed credit hours and a GPA of 2.5. We found no official rule allowing off-campus work on a student residence permit.

Stay after you graduate
Your residence permit is sponsored by your university. To stay you need an employer to sponsor a work residence permit.

The same rules for every institution in Qatar; Al Rayyan International University College's own programme pages govern the exact dates and scores. Guide checked 24 Sep 2026.
Deadlines and intakes
Most programmes start in August or September.
Because the visa is part of admission, missing a document deadline can cost you the place, not just delay the visa.
Language you need
Education City universities and HBKU teach in English. At Qatar University, the language of instruction varies by college and programme: some teach in English, others wholly or partly in Arabic. The university runs an Arabic for Non-Native Speakers programme for those who need it. Check the language of your exact programme before applying.
Each university sets its own English test requirement. Check the admissions page for your programme and meet the score before the deadline, not after.
Free for students
Tell us what you want to study. Your request goes to the admissions team or to an adviser who works with them will contact you by email to help with your application. It costs you nothing.
Student reviews: none yet for Al Rayyan International University College. If you study or studied here, yours would be the first.
Every reviewer confirms their email address with a one-time link, and a person at Studies Multiverse reads each review before it appears. We publish good and bad reviews on the same terms, never edit them, never pay for them, and an institution cannot remove a review by paying us. Reviews sent from the institution’s own email domain are not accepted. Institutions can reply below a review. See our terms.
Get in touch
Studies Multiverse passes your question to the admissions office by email, and they reply to you directly. We do not sell your details to anyone.
