RM 1,600 plus 8% service tax, for public and private universities. Add eVAL, i-Kad, medical screening, insurance, a nationality-dependent visa fee and a personal bond.

Work while you study

20 hours a week, in approved sectors only

Students at universities and private higher education institutions only. Needs immigration approval, a job offer and a letter from your institution.

Stay after you graduate

Graduate Pass: 12 months, for listed nationalities

Bachelor's degree or higher. Needs a Malaysian citizen sponsor earning at least RM 1,500 a month. Part-time work in permitted sectors only.
