Studying in Kenya

The rules and the money, before you apply

These apply to every international student in Kenya, including at National Nurses Association of Kenya. Each figure shows where it came from and when we last checked it.

Money you must show

No fixed amount: a sponsor's commitment letter, and proof of funds if you pay for yourself

Listed by the Department of Immigration Services for new and renewed student passes.

Kenya Department of Immigration Services: Student Pass, checked 7 Nov 2026

Visa fee

Shown on your eFNS invoice; one university lists KES 13,800 (USD 101) a year for non-East African students

Citizens of Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi are exempt from the pass fee but must still get a pass.

USIU-Africa: undergraduate costs (2024-25), checked 7 Nov 2026

How to apply in Kenya

The same rules for every institution in Kenya; National Nurses Association of Kenya's own programme pages govern the exact dates and scores. Guide checked 7 Nov 2026.

Deadlines and intakes

Intakes differ between universities, and several private universities admit more than once a year; check your university's dates. Leave three months for the Student Pass.

Language you need

Teaching is in English. Kiswahili is the national language and the language of daily life; some Kiswahili helps a lot outside campus.

Student reviews: none yet for National Nurses Association of Kenya. If you study or studied here, yours would be the first.

How we check reviews

Every reviewer confirms their email address with a one-time link, and a person at Studies Multiverse reads each review before it appears. We publish good and bad reviews on the same terms, never edit them, never pay for them, and an institution cannot remove a review by paying us. Reviews sent from the institution’s own email domain are not accepted. Institutions can reply below a review. See our terms.
