Studying in Greece

The rules and the money, before you apply

These apply to every international student in Greece, including at Institute of Accelerating Systems and Applications. Each figure shows where it came from and when we last checked it.

Visa fee

€90 national D visa, plus €30 visa centre service fee

A residence permit for studies follows in Greece. Its fee is not published on an official page we could read; law firms quote €150.

Global Visa Center, visa partner of the Greek consulates, source re-checked 27 Sep 2026

How to apply in Greece

The same rules for every institution in Greece; Institute of Accelerating Systems and Applications's own programme pages govern the exact dates and scores. Guide checked 24 Sep 2026.

Deadlines and intakes

There are two separate routes, with different calendars:

Work back from the visa: allow two to three months for the D visa appointment and decision, and gather apostilles and translations early because they take the longest.

Language you need

Greece has a small number of English-taught undergraduate degrees: the Study in Greece bachelor's page lists around twenty, including medicine at Athens, Thessaloniki, Crete, Patras and Thessaly, law and engineering at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and business at the Athens University of Economics and Business. English-taught master's programmes are more numerous. English requirements are set by each programme: check the programme page.

Greek-language degrees are free but require Greek, and entry for foreign nationals runs through a ministry procedure with its own document rules.

How we check reviews

Every reviewer confirms their email address with a one-time link, and a person at Studies Multiverse reads each review before it appears. We publish good and bad reviews on the same terms, never edit them, never pay for them, and an institution cannot remove a review by paying us. Reviews sent from the institution’s own email domain are not accepted. Institutions can reply below a review. See our terms.
