How to apply in Denmark

The same rules for every institution in Denmark; Royal Danish School of Pharmacy's own programme pages govern the exact dates and scores. Guide checked 24 Sep 2026.

Deadlines and intakes

Bachelor's: through the national portal optagelse.dk. Applicants with international qualifications apply by 15 March, 12 noon CET (Quota 2). The 5 July deadline is for Quota 1, which uses Danish or equivalent entrance exam grades and is not the route for most non-EU applicants.

Master's: directly to each university. Aarhus University's deadline for non-EU applicants is 15 January for the summer intake (August or September start), with the round opening 1 November. For its winter intake (January or February start), the non-EU deadline is 15 September. Other universities set similar but not identical dates: check each one.

Language you need

Most English-taught provision is at master's level; many bachelor's programmes are taught in Danish. Language requirements are set by each institution, and Study in Denmark directs you to the university for exact scores. Check the programme page for the IELTS, TOEFL or other test it accepts and the minimum per section.

No Danish is needed for the permit. Danes speak very good English, but the part-time job market outside hospitality, warehouses and tech is largely Danish-speaking, and graduate employers outside international firms often expect it. Municipal language centres offer Danish courses to residents; start in your first term if you want to stay.

How we check reviews

Every reviewer confirms their email address with a one-time link, and a person at Studies Multiverse reads each review before it appears. We publish good and bad reviews on the same terms, never edit them, never pay for them, and an institution cannot remove a review by paying us. Reviews sent from the institution’s own email domain are not accepted. Institutions can reply below a review. See our terms.
