How to apply in Croatia

The same rules for every institution in Croatia; University Center for Protestant Theology Matthias Flacius Illyricus's own programme pages govern the exact dates and scores. Guide checked 24 Sep 2026.

Deadlines and intakes

Your foreign secondary school certificate generally needs to be recognised before enrolment. Allow time for that and for the permit, which you cannot apply for more than three months before arrival.

Language you need

Undergraduate programmes taught in Croatian are admitted through the central online application system Postani student and require State Matura results. Study in Croatia notes that foreign citizens may be asked to take a standardised Croatian language test at level B2.

English-taught programmes, especially medicine and a range of master's degrees, set their own English requirements and often their own entrance exams. You do not need Croatian for the permit, but police administration, landlords and most student jobs outside tourism will expect at least basic Croatian.

How we check reviews

Every reviewer confirms their email address with a one-time link, and a person at Studies Multiverse reads each review before it appears. We publish good and bad reviews on the same terms, never edit them, never pay for them, and an institution cannot remove a review by paying us. Reviews sent from the institution’s own email domain are not accepted. Institutions can reply below a review. See our terms.
