Studying in China
These apply to every international student in China, including at Henan University. Each figure shows where it came from and when we last checked it.
Money you must show
Neither the visa rules nor the residence permit rules set an amount. Your university may ask for a bank statement or a guarantor, and the figure it sets is the one that applies to you.

Deadlines and intakes
The main intake is September, with a smaller spring intake at some universities.
Deadlines are set by each university, and competitive ones close early. Tsinghua's undergraduate admissions for 2027 entry run in two rounds:
Language you need
English-taught programmes are common at master's level and in medicine, business and engineering. Requirements are set per university: Tsinghua asks for a high level of English and accepts TOEFL, IELTS or other recognised tests.
Chinese-taught programmes use the HSK exam. Tsinghua's Chinese-English taught undergraduate programmes ask for HSK Level 5 or above, with each section over 60 points. Other universities and programmes set their own levels, some lower than this. Check the requirement on the programme page.
Free for students
Tell us what you want to study. Your request goes to the admissions team or to an adviser who works with them will contact you by email to help with your application. It costs you nothing.
Student reviews: none yet for Henan University. If you study or studied here, yours would be the first.
Every reviewer confirms their email address with a one-time link, and a person at Studies Multiverse reads each review before it appears. We publish good and bad reviews on the same terms, never edit them, never pay for them, and an institution cannot remove a review by paying us. Reviews sent from the institution’s own email domain are not accepted. Institutions can reply below a review. See our terms.
