Studying in Albania, from the official sources in our guide
Studying in Albania
These apply to every international student in Albania, including at Skanderbeg Military University. Each figure shows where it came from and when we last checked it.

The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs says fees follow Council of Ministers Decision no. 569 of 3 October 2018 on the basis of reciprocity. The student residence permit costs 4,500 lekë the first time and 2,250 lekë on renewal, plus the biometric card.

The same rules for every institution in Albania; Skanderbeg Military University's own programme pages govern the exact dates and scores. Guide checked 25 Sep 2026.
Deadlines and intakes
Universities set their own admission dates and we could not find a single national deadline for international applicants. Work backwards from your start date: allow time to open an Albanian bank deposit, get the visa (up to 15 days, sometimes 30) and then apply for the residence permit after arrival.
Language you need
The official language is Albanian and most public university teaching is in Albanian. The visa checklist asks for proof that you know the language of your studies. Private universities offer programmes in English: check the language of instruction on the programme page before applying.
Student reviews: none yet for Skanderbeg Military University. If you study or studied here, yours would be the first.
Every reviewer confirms their email address with a one-time link, and a person at Studies Multiverse reads each review before it appears. We publish good and bad reviews on the same terms, never edit them, never pay for them, and an institution cannot remove a review by paying us. Reviews sent from the institution’s own email domain are not accepted. Institutions can reply below a review. See our terms.
