How we make money

Everything on this site is open to read, with no account, no email gate and nothing blurred. Somebody still has to pay for it. Here is exactly who, and exactly what it does and does not buy.

1. Institutions pay for a better page

Any institution can claim its listing and correct its facts for nothing, permanently. We would rather have the facts right than have the money, because wrong facts are what gets a directory sued.

€99 a year + VAT buys presentation: photographs, a course list and an enquiry form that reaches them. It is one plan with everything included, and it never buys a higher place in any list or a better register verdict.

Invoiced yearly, in euro, directly. We take no card details, nothing renews on its own, and a lapsed listing drops back to the standard version rather than disappearing.

2. Affiliate commission (not in use today)

Students need a bank account, insurance, a way to move money and somewhere to live. Today no link on this site earns us anything. If we join a company’s affiliate programme in future, its link will be marked where you see it and we may earn a commission if it is used, at no extra cost to the student. A service would appear because students need it, not because it paid to be first, and none would touch a register page.

3. Paid listings for student services

Housing, banking, insurance, money-transfer and similar companies can pay for a place in a box on a country guide, labelled Paid listing, below the official figures. At most three per kind of service per country, in a rotating order. They receive no data about you, never appear on an institution’s page, and have no say over any figure, guide or institution on this site. We check each company by hand before it appears.

What we will not sell

• The register verdict. At any price, to anyone.
• Removal of a true fact. A correction costs nothing; suppression is not for sale.
• Student data. An enquiry goes to the institution the student wrote to, and nowhere else. We do not sell leads to agents.
• Unlabelled placement. If it was paid for, it says so.

Why an institution is listed at all

We publish factual information about educational institutions, name, country, kind, website, and where a government publishes one, standing on the official register. It comes from open-licensed public sources, which are named on every page. We publish no logos, no photographs and no individual’s contact details unless the institution adds them itself.
