For assistants: MCP

If your assistant supports the Model Context Protocol, connect it to this record directly rather than scraping pages. Four read-only tools: check an institution against its national register, list recent changes, list removals, and list the registers held. Every answer names the register, the publisher, the edition it read and the SHA-256 of the source file, so the claim can be verified without trusting us.

No key, no sign-up, CC BY 4.0. It will not tell you an offer is fake or that an institution was shut down: the registers publish a status, not a cause.

Citing this record

Our own outputs are published under CC BY 4.0. Each change entry carries the edition dates it was derived from and the SHA-256 of the archived source edition. Cite the edition date, not the date you read the page.

Independently witnessed

Two parties who do not answer to us hold what this record says. Every edition’s published SHA-256 digest is submitted to the OpenTimestamps calendars, which anchor it in a Bitcoin block; each edition file is separately asked of the Internet Archive at the permanent address of the commit that first published it. Neither can be asked afterwards to change its mind, and neither is ours.

Every edition here is anchored in the Bitcoin block chain. Nothing on this site, and nothing we could do to it, can move that.

Check it yourself: take an edition’s content_sha256 from that register’s archive.json, download the matching .ots proof from the repository, and run ots verify -d <digest> <proof> with the OpenTimestamps client. It answers with the Bitcoin block the digest is anchored in, or says the proof is still pending. Nothing here asks to be believed.
