Studies Multiverse

Is your school approved to take international students in Australia?

The official list is the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS), published by Australian Government Department of Education. We hold 58 editions of it, going back to 2021-10-31, and have recorded 43,057 changes.

Check the codes on your offer letter

We report what the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) said on the edition published 2026-08-03. A code we cannot find, or a course registered to a different provider, has innocent explanations and is worth asking the institution about. This check never tells you an offer is fake.

What changed

What happens if your institution's standing changes

CRICOS registration is what allows a provider to enrol you. If it is suspended or cancelled, provider-default obligations under the ESOS Act are triggered, and you are normally entitled to a placement in a comparable course or a refund.

This is general information, not immigration advice, and rules change. Always confirm your own position with the relevant authority or a qualified adviser.
